T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009

The T-Mobile Sidekick range has been a huge hit in the US over the years, but the few Sidekick devices that have made it to Europe have usually flopped. The problem with the Sidekick is that even though they packed a useful QWERTY keyboard, generally they were fairly low-specification devices that were also quite bulky. The Sidekick's target market in Europe was more interested in other gadgets.

LG’s 2009 flagship Arena sets ‘sale’


The LG Arena KM900 is the manufacturer’s flagship handset for 2009. The touch-screen device boasts a 3D user interface and all the trimmings of a multimedia phone, such as Dolby Mobile technology for great sound on audio and video. Other features include Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, a five-megapixel camera and Bluetooth.

Nokia’s latest Eseries device, the E75, is now available to buy in the UK.

The phone can now be purchased from Nokia flagship stores or at www.nokia.co.uk/shop for £379 SIM free. From April 28 it will be available from The Carphone Warehouse on £35 a month tariffs and through Orange Business from May 4 on £40 a month tariffs.

A rumour’s popped up on Electronista,

today, about the next version of the iPhone, theoretically due to be announced in June. According to various market sources, Taiwanese manufacturer Omnivision has won an order from Apple to make 3.2 megapixel CMOS sensors. Which may not mean much, until you realise that CMOS sensors are what are used in webcams

This is completely understandable, since companies are doing their best to deliver much-anticipated handsets on time, which sometimes causes rough-cut final software realization


During his keynote speech at the Web 2.0. Expo in San Fransisco, Palm's Sr. VP of Application Software and Services, Michael Abbott, announced that the manufacturer is exapanding the number of third party developers with access to the Palm Mojo SDK. Last year was not very successful for Sony Ericsson and the company suffered some significant loss, but it seems that wasn´t an obstacle for its progress, since it announced the world’s first 12-megapixel phone, the Idou, back at MWC 2009.



A few words:

The first time we came across the Samsung BEAT DJ, we were like “Dude, this looks weird!” Later, when we got the chance to take a closer look at it, we actually quite liked the little musician. First of all, we would like to point out that Samsung has clearly decided to build upon and jazz up its existing music-oriented devices, which used to be less sophisticated than the one we’re holding right now. What the BEAT DJ adds to the line is a really nice touch-sensitive screen,
